HORSE The Band machen Tournee-Sport und sie haben grosse Ambitionen. Ihr Ziel fürs neue Album: Einen sterbenden Roboter zu erschaffen.

Die „Nintendo-Core“-Combo HORSE the Band hat letzte Woche ihre vierte Platte „Desperate Living“ veröffentlicht und feiert damit ihr zehnjähriges Bestehen. Die Band umgibt ein honorabler Konzert-Mythos: Letztes Jahr unternahmen sie eine 45-Länder umfassende Welttournee, sie spielten in China, Serbien und Weissrussland, als erste US-Band seit fünf Jahren. Die letzte hiess Cannibal Corpse. Und was sie auch noch sagen wollten:

„We don’t have parents and we are from the future. We went to 45 countries, played 73 shows in 36 of them, and only three shows fell through during the whole tour, because Nazis burned down the venue in Greece and we got turned away by the Moldovan army from entering „Europe’s Black Hole“, Transnistria.“

Schön viel Ironie und Sarkasmus scheinen hier involviert zu sein. Das beweist auch ein kurzer Blick in die Band-Biographie auf ihrer MySpace-Seite. Zum Schluss noch ein Bonmot ihres Produzenten Jamie Stewart von Xiu Xiu.
