Auch ein grosser Musiker fängt mal klein an. Bei MGMT war das folgendermassen.
Der Kurs hiess „Hazardous Earth: Stuff That Will Kill You“. Einer der eingeschriebenen Studenten hiess Andrew VanWyngarden. Eigentlich keine grosse Sache, wenn es in diesem Kurs nicht eine Präsentation von Andrew VanWyngarden in Form einer musikalischen Darbietung gegeben hätte, und dieser Junge ein paar Jahre später nicht in einer scheiss erfolgreichen Band spielen würde.

I love this twisted disco/electro clash stuff. MGMT has a bunch of great tracks!
A similar artist is Santi White, who with her new project „Santogold“, is pushing around the boundaries of all genres. I was surprised to hear her song „Say Aha“ being used in the new Pixon mobile phone ad. The Jay Z song that popped up lately, „Brooklyn Go Hard“ featuring Santogold and produced by Kanye West, which is being released some time beginning of next year, shows us that popular music is at least slightly developing into a broader spectrum of genres. I think some people who usually enjoy Jay Z’s music will have difficulty adapting to this new type of sound. Let’s hope this long overdue trend continues.
